The family of a girl who was injured in an accident are looking for donations to help them put on a fundraising ball next month.

Annabelle Orritt, from Woodford Halse, suffered from a fractured skull, eye socket, cheek bone, blood on the brain and damaged vertebrae when a tree landed her on when she was walking near her home.

Her family are now organising a masquerade ball at Fawsley Hall Hotel and Spa in aid of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA)on Friday, March 13. The WNAA took her to hospital after she had her accident.

The family are looking for donations or sponsorship towards raffle prizes.

Her stepfather David Brooks said: “We are looking for anything really that people are prepared to offer as raffle prizes. We have got around three of four to give away. Hay’s Hairdressing has given us a prize and an equestrian centre has also donated.”

It was while Annabelle was recovering in hospital that she decided to raise money for the WNAA. The family has previously
organised a charity ball at the same venue and raised £3,897.

There will be a champagne reception at the masquerade ball followed by a three-course meal, a raffle and dancing.

The events starts at 7pm and tickets are £49.50 per person with 10 people per table.

For every ticket sold £20 will be donated to the WNAA.
