A ONE-man show adapting a Charles Dickens classic will be returning to Long Buckby Library on Wednesday.

TV and West End actor James Hornsby will be bringing Great Expectations to the library on Station Road.

He is going to bring to life a host wonderful characters including Magwitch, The Gargerys, Uncle Pumblechook, Estella, Herbert Pocket, Miss Havisham, and of course Pip.

All of the characters will be brought to life in the inimitable style of Dickens’ own legendary public readings.

It is the third show which James has taken around venues in Northamptonshire. He has previously performed adapatations of Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets for the show cost £7.50 to include mulled wine or alternative refreshments.
