A JUBILEE-themed plant sale helped church funds grow by more than £1,000.
The event was held in Nether Heyford over the weekend at the village’s baptist church.
It included a floral display which featured the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in flowers.
One of the organisers Vi Wilson said: “It went very well and in total we raised around £1,300.
“The money will be used for the upkeep of the baptist church in the village.
“We had cream teas, a book and card stall and a sale table.
“The flowers were all based around the Diamond Jubilee theme and we had things like Royal residences, the national anthem and Royal anniversaries.
“We also received a letter from Buckingham Palace wishing us all the best for the event.
“We had a good turn out and we were lucky with the weather. We also had our annual plant sale on the green.”
