Debbie says goodbye to hair for children's cancer charity
She cut it off to donate to the Little Princess Trust, who provide wigs for youngsters who have lost their hair through harsh treatment.

Hide AdDebbie, who works at Northampton General Hospital, said: “As my hair was already at a reasonable length, I decided to grow it long and do something similar to one of my colleages who works in oncology.
“The hair cut has raised moneyfor Macmillan Cancer Support and the Little Princess Trust.”
Debbie, who lives in Nether Heyford, said everyone is affected by cancer in one way or another.

Hide Ad“My chop for charity took place earlier this month and I combined it with a raffle, coffee and cake sale and a second hand book sale.”
Anna Marie from hair salon ‘Twenty5’ cut off four plaits, each measuring 11 inches.
Debbie said: “This has been donated to the Little Princess Trust, a great charity that collects suitable hair in order to make wigs for children who have suffered hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Hide Ad“At the event, one of our friends’ daughter’s has now decided to have a sponsored haircut too.
“This is brilliant as it is a good way of raising awareness.”
Together with the sponsor ship from work colleagues and money received through the Just Giving website, the hair cutting has raised £500 for both charities.
Debbie said: “I would like to say a big thank you for everyone’s donations and support for these important charities.”
