Daventry's Winter Fayre is coming

Entertainment on Saturday, December 8 will feature carousel rides, a Santa’s Grotto, donkey rides, a lantern parade, a Christmas tree festival and a carol service.

A Christmas market on High Street will see stalls selling Prosecco, gin and other refreshments, a hog roast, handmade jewellery, chutneys, jams and more.

Daventry Town Mayor, Cllr Lynn Jones, said: "The decision to rebrand the event from the Spirit of Christmas was not taken lightly.

"Given how much the event has grown, we wanted a name that really encompasses what it has to offer.

"With Daventry’s market town history, it seemed fitting really.

"It is a fun packed day with something for all the family.”

Daventry Town Council has sponsored several attractions on the day, which are free to enjoy.
