A Daventry woman who lost the equivalent weight as a sack of potatoes has launched her own slimming group.
Daventry resident Louise Jones, has recently returned from living abroad for a couple of years in Tenerife.
Overdosing on sun, sea, sangria and salted snacks, Louise returned to the UK with excess baggage.
Feeling both lethargic, unhealthy and unable to fit into the winter wardrobe, Louise found her local Slimming World group and joined for much needed help, support and guidance.
In the end she lost the weight equivalent of a sack of spuds.
Louise says “Being able to enjoy fab family friendly meals such as roast dinners, curries chillis and chips has been a complete lifesaver. I don’t have time to cook different meals so family friendly Slimming World meals are just the tonic.
“Being able to socialise and enjoy my favourite tipple of a vodka and slimline tonic or glass of bubbles makes this food plan a firm favourite.”
Life has changed beyond recognition for Louise. Louise has been so impressed by the sharing of food ideas/recipes, support and recognition at the group she attends, that she has recently trained as a Slimming World consultant herself.
Now she has opened a new Saturday morning Slimming World group in Daventry (at 8.30am and 10.30am), and from January 2 she will be taking over the existing Monday group in Daventry (3.30pm, 5.30pm, and 7.30pm)
Both groups will be held at the New Street Day Centre (next to Tesco). For any more information contact Louise on 07766952154.
