DACT volunteer Dennis Clayton has been chosen as a finalist for the Anglia region in the ‘community hero of the year’ category in the Britain Has Spirit campaign.
The public can now vote for their regional winners via www.britainhasspirit.com until June 17 – one vote per person per day.
If Dennis wins the region he will get a fun experience day and go through to the national stage where he would be in with the chance of winning £25,000 for DACT.
Rob Kinning, chief executive of DACT, said: “DACT has 170 incredible volunteers helping to deliver our services; every one of these is a hero.
“Dennis has been nominated and selected by Britain has Spirit and in a sense stands representative of every one of our superb DACT volunteers.
“Many people in Daventry and district will know Dennis and I’m sure they would jump at the chance of being able to vote for him and give him the chance to progress to the next round.”
