The Cambridgeshire club was due to host the Purple Army tonight in the quarter-finals but Eynesbury couldn't fix an electrical fault caused by vandals in time for the game.

The postponement was announced by Eynesbury Rovers on Twitter yesterday and the match will now be played on Tuesday, December 4.

"Unfortunately tomorrow's United Counties League Cup match against Daventry Town FC has been postponed," the Cambridgeshire club tweeted.

"Our ground was vandalised on Saturday night, not only did the vandals decide to ruin the new 3G pitch, they also damaged the electricity box that powers the floodlights.

"Unfortunately we haven’t managed to get them repaired in time for tomorrow’s match."
