It was a busy Saturday down at Daventry’s Welfare Rooms as the town’s Time Bank project held a fundraiser.
There were stalls selling all manner of items, from bric-a-brac and clothes, to raffle tickets and home made cakes.
John Atkins, Time Bank project coordinator, said: “The day raised more than £400 which we were quite pleased with.
“There was lots of hard work from the volunteers, but everybody seemed to have a good time.”
Time Bank members give their time to help other members in all sorts of different ways, in return they get time and help from others on the scheme.
The money will go towards funding skills classes for the members like art or computer classes, as well as social events for them.
