Daventry’s own calendar girls hit the stores

A 2013 charity calendar of Daventry’s own ‘calendar girls’ is now on sale.

A group of daring Daventry ladies were happy to bare almost all to raise money for Cancer Research UK - le by shop owner Darren Hayes who organised the calendar.

Mr Hayes, from TopTastic Photography in Sheaf Street, is selling the calendars from his store and the Danetre Party Shop priced at £6.95 with limited stock.

He said: “We have a few customers who come into the store who have been touched by cancer and my brother-in -law died of cancer last year so we thought it was good cause to support.

“Last year I did the photos for a Calendar Girls shoot and this year I wanted to organise it myself with Daventry’s answer to the Calendar Girls.”

The youngest lady taking part in the calendar is 22 and the eldest is 65 with woman of all shapes and sizes posed up in lively and entertaining poses.

Several local businesses including Harpers boutique and Basket and Bunches approached Mr Hayes to offer props from their stores.
