Daventry motorsport company has new head of sales

An internationally-renowned motorsport preparation and advanced engineering specialist that is based in Daventry has appointed Graham Prew as its head of motorsport sales.

Graham, who joined the JRM Group in August 2015, steps up from his previous position as the company’s business development manager.

He has worked in the motorsport industry for 24 years and has a wealth of commercial, operations and sales experience. His job will be to mastermind the motorsport sales strategy across the range of successful competition cars that JRM constructs at its headquarters on the Drayton Fields Industrial Estate in Daventry.

This includes the Blancpain Endurance PRO Cup-winning Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, the NEW Subaru WRX STI NR4 rally car that won the production class at November’s Wales Rally GB by more than five minutes and the MINI RX rallycross Supercar that has won races in the FIA World Rallycross Championship.

As well as constructing competition cars, JRM provides high-quality motorsport and engineering services to a number of high-profile manufacturer partners including Nissan Motorsport International (Nismo) and Subaru Tecnica International (STI). It is also developing its Advanced Engineering business unit on a global scale.

As JRM’s new head of motorsport sales, Graham has joined the company’s experiebusiness leadership team that was set up by managing director Jason King to ensure the smooth running of the business on a day-to-day basis.

Graham said: “The JRM Group has developed some fantastic competition cars in international GT3 racing, rallying and rallycross. I’ll be responsible for increasing our presence across these disciplines and ensuring our customer teams and drivers receive the high-quality sales support services that JRM is renowned for delivering.”

Jason King believes Graham’s sales experience will stand JRM in good stead.

He said: “Graham’s been working in the motorsport industry for the last 24 years and has an extensive network of contacts that will be extremely valuable.

“He will play a leading role in identifying new and exciting sales opportunities and placing our cars in the international and regional championships where we know they will be successful. This is an exciting appointment for JRM, as well as our new and existing customers.”
