The CQC found the practice outstanding in providing caring and responsive services to the key population groups it serves.

Dr Charles Rose from the practice, said: “We are delighted to have received an ‘outstanding’ rating.

“Our practice team should be proud of the feedback from the inspectors and from our patients. We have worked very hard to ensure we are providing the best possible care for all our patients.”

The practice has also been acknowledged for providing additional services in response to the needs of the population such as young people’s services to discuss issues such as sexual health, bullying and self-harm, and educational support for patients regarding their long term conditions.

Dr Charles Rose said: “Patients consistently reported they were treated with compassion, dignity and respect and that they were involved in decisions about their care and treatment.

“We have taken additional measures to ensure patients dignity and privacy by the introduction of a patient services assistant whose role is to assist patients requiring private discussions, those who had concerns regarding services and those registering with the practice.

“We have also introduced systems to allow patients and care home staff prompt access to their named GP promoting continuity and personal service.

“It is fantastic to see this recognition by the CQC. It gives us real encouragement as we look to raise the standard of care we provide even further.”
