People are invited to join members of the Royal British Legion and Councillors at the event, which will start at about 10.15am.

Cllr Chris Millar, leader of Daventry District Council, said: “We are honoured to show our support to Armed Forces Day in a year that marks the 100th anniversary of two major battles of the First World War, at the Somme and Jutland.

“We have been marking Armed Forces Day in this way for seven years now and it is a good way for us to reflect on the outstanding contribution of the men and women of our armed forces.”
