A minute’s silence was held at 11am on Monday in memory of Kane Beard, who died in a tragic incident during waste and recycling collections in Daventry on Friday.

Staff at Daventry District Council and its environmental services contractor Amey joined together in remembering Mr Beard.

Ahead of the minute’s silence Ian Vincent, chief executive at Daventry District Council said: “At 11am we will pause with our colleagues at Amey to observe a minute’s silence as a mark of respect for Kane, a popular member of our local community.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies remain with his family, friends and colleagues at this sad and difficult time.”
