Daventry car parts manufacturer gets Queen's Award after exports grow 120 per cent

Red Arch Manufacturing Ltd, of Daventry, is manufacturer and supplier of products for automotive applications and was announced as a winner today, the Queen’s birthday.

It was awarded in the International Trade category for “sustained and exceptional export growth”, which which has exceeded 120 per cent in the last three years.

Managing director Mike Theaker said: “It’s a great honour for our company. We are absolutely delighted and extremely proud.

“Our long term strategy of investing in new technologies and developing innovative products and processes has been key.

“However, without the skill, dedication and hard work of our Daventry-based Design, Development and Production teams, the significant growth we have seen over the last three years would not have been possible.”

He added: We are particularly proud to be championing British industry in the heartland of German automotive manufacturing and look forward to continuing to improve and grow the business in the worldwide market.

“With new projects in constant development, and continued support from our partners, suppliers and customers, we’ll be displaying the Queen’s Award emblem with pride as a symbol of our company’s quality and success in future.”

Red Arch will be invited to attend a Queen’s Award winner’s reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire will also visit the manufacturing facility in Daventry to present a crystal bowl before the end of June.

Cheaney Shoes Ltd, of Desborough, a manufacturer of high-grade footwear established in 1886, also won the same award.

Business secretary Sajid Javid said the Queen’s Awards are a great way of celebrating the best of British business.
