Josh Adams and Jack King, both aged 13 and from Daventry Table Tennis Club, won the doubles title. Josh then beat Jack in the under 18s single finals, and Josh also won the individual singles title for adults in division three.

The two boys are both in their novice season playing for their club.

The club itself only formed five years ago.

In its inaugural season they fielded three teams in the Daventry League and success came their way in the Handicap Cup and promotion for one of those teams.

In 2012 the club expanded to five competitive teams. The following year the club won both divisional titles in the Daventry League and introduced a sixth team that comprised the very youngest members yearning to test out freshly learnt skills in competitive match play in the Towcester League.

They now field eight teams each week and continue to dominate the local Leagues. Some nights at its Stefen Hill Sports Park headquarters there are now eight tables in play attracting all standards, while in competition they regularly host three competitive matches on the same evening.
