More than 1,000 people flocked to Daventry Country Park to enjoy the fifth annual Family Cinema Day.
With rain on both the Friday and the Sunday, people took advantage of a window in the weather on Saturday to enjoy the sunshine and watch the family films being shown on the big screen in the park’s Northern Field.
More than 1,400 people attended the event, settling down to enjoy The Boxtrolls and Paddington and taking part in other fun activities including a bouncy castle and face painting.
The day was organised by Daventry District Council with support from Daventry & District Housing and Daventry Town Council.
It was held as part of the Daventry Arts Festival, which concluded on Sunday having provided a three-weeks showcase for music, dance, art and theatre across Daventry district.
