A driver was racially abused and assaulted by a fellow driver with road rage after a minor car crash in a Northamptonshire village.

The incident happened following a damage-only road traffic collision in East Street, Long Buckby, just after 10.15pm on Wednesday (July 1).

When the victim stopped to exchange details, the driver in the other car got out and hurled racial abuse at him.

She then punched him twice in the chest before getting back into her black Mercedes convertible and driving off.
