Victim fights off gang of five trying to steal his car keys in Northamptonshire village

A victim fought off five masked assailants who tried to grab is car keys during an assault in a Northamptonshire village.

Officers are hunting the gang of five who approached the man as he was returning to his vehicle in Larkhall Lane, Harpole, at about 9pm on Wednesday, January 22

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "They victim was assaulted as the group attempted to steal his car keys. But the offenders, who were all wearing face coverings, ran off after failing to get hold of the keys.

"Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call us on 101 quoting reference number 20000053610."
