Thieves stole a horse trailer after breaking into a barn in a South Northamptonshire village.

Detectives revealed the graphite-colour Ifor Williams trailer and a matching tack pack was taken from School Lane in Eydon between 8pm on Thursday (August 27) and 9am the following morning.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Our officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the Eydon area, or might seen a vehicle either at the property in School Lane or towing a horse trailer.

"Also, we would be keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered a horse trailer matching this description for sale in unusual circumstances.

"If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please call us on 101 using reference number 20000449721. Or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
