Primark customers complain after reports of '˜suspicious' man grabbing women and touching them inappropriately in Northamptonshire

Police are hunting a man who has been grabbing women and touching them inappropriately in Northampton town centre.

Officers at Northamptonshire Police are investigating reports of a man acting suspiciously in the Drapery just after midday yesterday (Sunday).

This came after Primark’s security officers alerted police that customers had complained about a man behaving in a suspicious manner in the store.

It appears the same man then went to the Drapery and approached a number of women, grabbing at them and touching them inappropriately.

The offender is described as Asian, about 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in with a slim build and short, greying hair. He has prominent upper teeth and was wearing a dark jacket, grey trousers and grey shoes.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Officers would like to hear from anybody who was approached in a similar way or any witnesses who were in the area at the time to contact police.”
