Police warning to Daventry shoppers after woman has purse snatched in town centre

Daventry Police have issued a warning for shoppers to beware after a woman had a purse stolen in the town centre last weekend.

The victim was walking in Bowen Square at around 10.45am on Saturday when the robber struck.

A spokesman for Daventry Police said: "We believe the purse was taken when an unknown person appeared to accidentally bumped into our victim.

"We are appealing for witnesses who were in Bowen Square on Saturday morning. If you did you see anything that could help our investigations, please call 101 using ref number 20000438308 #7184."
