POLICE have put out a warning to people after three break-ins to out buildings in Daventry within the space of a week.

Overnight between November 3 and 4 a garage was broken into on Stanley Way, Ashby Fields estate, when two motorcycle helmets were taken. One of the helmets is described as red, silver and black with the letters TT on the side.

The second break-in happened between November 4 and November 7 when someone entered a garden on The Cherwell on The Grange estate. A mountain bike was stolen in the incident and food was taken from a freezer in the shed.

The final one happened on Livingstone Road where someone broke into a garage and stole fishing equipment and a saw.

The Sector Commander for the Daventry area Paul Valentine told the Daventry Express: “We are looking for people to be vigilant and take basic steps to secure their garages and sheds such as locking them at night.

“This could include the use of shed alarms or lighting which can help to deter burglars.”

Anyone with information about the three incidents is asked to call police on 03000 111 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. More crime prevention advice is available at www.northants.police.uk.
