Police seize £100,000 of drugs in Daventry raid

A MAN has been charged after police uncovered a £100,000 cannabis factory in a quiet Daventry cul-de-sac.

Officers found thousands of pounds worth of equipment including strong lights and fertiliser when they went in. A police team spent most of Thursday last week clearing the equipment.

The electricity supply had also been tampered with to bypass the meter and aid in the cultivation of cannabis.

Police have asked people to be vigilant for other cannabis factories in the Daventry district. Signs include strong, unusual smells, blacked out curtains and fertiliser and strong lighting equipment taken into a house.

Anyone with information about the car or its occupants can call police on 03000 111 222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
