TWELVE paintings have been stolen during a burglary in the Ravensthorpe area.

The paintings are all country scenes by local artist Joy Hawken and are signed but not framed.

They were stolen at some time between midday on Tuesday, September 27 and 10pm on Sunday, October 23.

Northamptonshire Police said it’s likely the paintings will be offered for sale to art dealers, auction houses or picture galleries.

They are described as distinctive and original watercolour and oil paintings featuring horses, cockerels and hounds.

If you recognise these paintings or have any information about their whereabouts please contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
