A REFURBISHMENT at Daventry Police Station will see a new team move into the building.

Northamptonshire Police’s professional standards department will move from their rented premises in Northampton to the building on New Street by November this year.

The department’s job is to maintain professional and ethical standards and protect the integrity and reputation of the force.

Inspector Julia Potts, sector commander for Davantry, said: “There has been talk about the station closing but this investment shows that the force is committed to our future here. We’d also like to make the station a bit more pleasant for people coming into the front desk if that’s possible during the refurbishment.”
