Man attacked in Daventry park

A MAN was assaulted in a Daventry park, leaving him with a cut and grazes.

At around 10.30pm on Saturday, February 18, a man was walking through the park area between The Wye and The Stour, on the Grange estate, when he was approached by two men.

One of them asked him for a cigarette and he replied he did not smoke.

At this point one of the men attacked the victim and wrestled him to the ground. The victim managed to get up and run away.

The victim suffered a cut to one of his fingers and grazes to his chest

The first male is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, medium build, early 20s, wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and black beanie hat.

The second male, who attacked the victim is described as white, 6ft tall, slim build, early 30s, black beanie hat, grey hoodie, black trousers.
