Heartbreak as sick thieves steal angel ornament from baby's grave in Daventry

The heartbroken father of a Daventry baby has shared his grief after sick thieves stole an ornamental angel from his little girl's grave.

Richard Jeffs said the sad discovery was made when the family visited his stillborn daughter Chloe's grave at Welton Road Cemetery on Mother's Day.

He said: "We are heartbroken and disgusted that anyone could stoop so low to rob off a child's grave.

"The ornament can be replaced; it's not about that. Whoever did this knew it was a child's grave."

Richard, who lives in Daventry, added: "How could someone be so cruel?

"The person responsible is scum."

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information.

The theft happened between Sunday, March 7, from 12:30pm - Sunday, March 14, to 12.30pm.
