Girl injured while crossing road in Daventry

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old girl had her foot driven over in Daventry.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 23, at around 3.45pm on Warwick Street near to the junction with Western Avenue.

A small blue car turned into Warwick Street and drove over the right foot of the girl, leaving her with minor injuries.

The driver asked if the girl was fine and then drove off without giving her details.

The driver is described as a white female in her 20s with light brown shoulder length hair wearing black rounded sunglasses.

Police would like to speak to the driver or anyone who witnessed the incident.
