These are the faces of 12 criminals put behind bars for anything up to 15 years by judges at Northampton Crown Court during January 2023.
They include a man who threatened staff at a bookies with a machete, vile child sex offenders, people traffickers who preyed on victims who were vulnerable and ripe for exploitation and a thug who battered a woman so badly she was left in hospital with multiple fractures, a broken arm and a bruised bladder.
9. MOHAMAD REZA AMANALLAHPOUR
Police stormed a Corby hotel room after a phone call from the mum of a 13-year-old girl Amanallahpour had travelled from his home in West London to sexually abuse on June 1 last year.

10. STEPHEN BAKER
The 73-year-old was sentenced to a total 15 years for multiple child sex offences and voyeurism.
Baker, of Cromford Road, Langley Mill, Nottingham, pleaded guilty at Northampton Crown Court to two counts of voyeurism, two counts of sexually assaulting a child, two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and three counts of making indecent photographs of children.

11. CAMPBELL McKEEGANS
A judge jailed McKeegans for 26 months after police found a five-minute video of him humiliating and threatening a vulnerable man who he had forced to insert drugs into a body cavity in Kettering in November 2021. The 19-year-old brandished a machete and told his victim "I'm going to kill you bro, I'm going to stab you up" when he could not retrieve the package. Prosecutors revealed detectives discovered the footage when McGeegans was arrested over an unrelated matter and told the court he had previous convictions for 44 offences dating back to when he was 11.
