Scott Moffat, 36, admitted supplying a teenager with liquid morphine to ease the pain of toothache. Work colleague Ross Clark, 19, died hours later as a result of taking the drug and cocaine. Moffat, of Corby was jailed for 21⁄2 years.

Robbie Kennedy shoved over a staff member after being caught stealing steaks from a Kettering petrol station. The 31-year-old also admitted taking Yankee Candles worth more than £350 from a Burton Latimer garden centre and was jailed for 16 weeks by Northampton magistrates.

Craig Kyle was only just released from serving part of an 18-month sentence for beating his pregnant partner when he assaulted a man and a woman in Corby. The 26-year-old was jailed for four weeks.

Daniel Ashby threatened to shoot a stranger in the head for looking at him, then racially abused and spat in the face of a female Police officer in Northampton town centre. Ashby, 38 ,and of no fixed abode, was jailed for 16 months after previously being found guilty of assault and admitting threatening behaviour.
