A driver was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after this dramatic crash in Brackley on Sunday night.

Photos showed major damage to a grey Peugeot 208 and Volkswagen Up! following the smash at about 7.15pm in Halse Road night.

Police and a fire crew from Brackley rushed to the scene following a 999 call yet, amazingly, found there were no major injuries.

Officers reported the VW had been parked at the time of the incident.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: A result, a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
