CCTV for village

A MOBILE CCTV camera has been put up in Weedon to try and reduce anti-social behaviour in the village.

Last year the Daventry District and South Northamptonshire Community Safety Partnership bought four wireless CCTV cameras in a bid to detect and deter anti-social behaviour.

In August one of the cameras was installed in the Hollows in Daventry and now another has been relocated to Weedon.

The camera, which is not linked to Daventry’s CCTV system or control room, has infrared capability, can function in full darkness and will record 24 hours a day.

It will be used to deter antisocial behaviour in the village, working alongside a number of other initiatives.
