GAMES consoles, a TV and jewellery were taken in a day-time burglary from a village home.

The burglary happened between 11.30am and 12.45pm on Monday, November 28, at Lodge Gate Cottage in Whilton Locks.

The house is near to the railway bridge, heading towards Whilton Locks.

Police say a large vehicle would have been needed to transport away stolen items including a 42ins television set, various games consoles and a large amount of jewellery.

Police are appealing for anyone passing by the house between these times – did they notice the burglar alarm sounding or any suspicious activity in the area?

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 101 – alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
