Police are patrolling Towcester to reassure the community after thieves raided the town's Tesco supermarket within hours of Boris Johnson announcing a coronavirus lockdown.

Police say three men smashed their way into the store in Old Tiffield Road by breaking windows with crowbars and made off with cash and cigarettes in a grey Volkswagen Golf.
