AN ATTEMPTED burglary took place in Norton at around 5pm in Norton yesterday (Thursday).
A man knocked on the door of a house in Weedon Lane stating his vehicle had broken down and asked the owner for water on a number of ocasions to cool the overheated radiator.
He then asked for a jug of warm water and an egg which could help make a seal once cracked into the radiator.
A second man came from the direction of one of the bedrooms appeared in the hallway stating he was assisting his friend with the car.
The two men leave the property with the front door key on realising that the panic button has been activated by the victim’s husband.
Police have reminded people not to open the door to people they are not expecting.
