County boundary changes being reviewed

PART of Daventry will be represented on the county council by the ‘Braunston and Crick’ councillor, if a boundary review goes ahead.

Northamptonshire County Council wants to reduce the number of councillors from 73 to 57 to save money.

A review of the divisions is now underway and the proposal from the Boundary Commission would see Daventry’s Lang Farm estate placed with Braunston, Barby, Kilsby and Crick.

The west of Daventry would form its own division, while Daventry East started at Drayton Fields industrial estate, included Ashby Fields, the Southbrook plus The Inlands and The Slade areas, before continuing on to include Norton village, and over the A5 to Muscott.
