Daventry District Council (DDC) is to spend up to £35,000 on new play equipment for the town’s country park.
The new equipment is designed for children under the age of eight to complement what is already there.
People are now being asked to choose from their favourite designs including fairytale and animal-themed play areas, as well as a largely wooden design including teepees and a pirate ship.
Members of the public are being invited to choose their favourite design by visiting the Daventry Country Park Facebook page at www.facebook.com/DaventryCountryPark or the Daventry District Council website at www.daventrydc.gov.uk/consultation.
People will also be able to see the designs and vote at the visitor centre at the park during opening hours. People will have until Friday, October 10 to register their vote, with the winning design set to be installed in the park in the spring.
The district council’s community, culture and leisure portfolio holder, Cllr Alan Hills, said: “The designs for the new play area look really exciting.
“I would urge people to have a look and help us choose the best option.”
