DAVENTRY District Council’s planning committee is also set to determine plans for 120 new homes in two villages on Wednesday night.

A planning application for 40 homes off Grants Hill Way in Woodford Halse.

This is in addition to plans for 200 homes on the neighbouring field which have already been granted planning permission.

The council’s planning department has recommended the plans for approval despite complaints from the parish council and residents.

The planning committee will also be judging on a proposal which would see up to 80 new homes built off Guilsborough Road in West Haddon.

The council has recommended the plans be refused. West Haddon Parish Council has objected to the plans due to its impact on the village.

Councillors will also determine plans for a wind turbine which will be based off Watling Street in Long Buckby.

The single turbine will be 78 metres to the tip and the council’s planning department has recommended the turbine be approved.

All three of these applications will be determined at the planning meeting which starts at 6.15pm at the council’s offices in Lodge Road.
