A Task Panel of councillors scrutinising Daventry District Council’s (DDC) environmental services, delivered under contract with Enterprise Managed Services (EMS), is encouraging residents to give their views in a district-wide survey.
EMS has been providing environmental services for both (DDC) and Northampton Borough Council since June 2011.
The Task Panel was set up by DDC’s scrutiny and improvement committee last summer to review the contract’s performance and is keen to assess services such as waste and recycling collections, street cleaning and maintenance of parks and open spaces.
An online survey is now available for Daventry sistrict residents to complete on the council’s website at www.daventrydc.gov.uk and runs until Tuesday March 26, 2013. The results will be considered by the task panel as it shapes its recommendations to council.
Parish councils are also being consulted and feedback has also been gathered from members of the Daventry District People’s Panel and from customers who have contacted DDC directly about environmental services issues.
Chairman of the task panel, Cllr Wendy Randall said: “This scrutiny review is not just about the management and performance of the contract with EMS, it’s also about how satisfied local people are with the services they are receiving.
“It’s really important that we consider their views and I would encourage as many people possible district-wide to complete this online survey.
“It only takes a couple of minutes to complete but the information we will gather from it will be invaluable as we work towards our recommendations.”
