Community cafe to be held in Daventry

A community cafe event will be held in Daventry on Thursday.

The event is aimed at those over 65 and will feature complimentary light refreshments, a tombola, fun activities, plus help and guidance from local agencies.

The event, on Thursday March 31, has been organised by Cummins and takes place at the Daventry and District Welfare Foundation building in New Street, next to Tesco, from 10am to 1.30pm.

Also in attendance will be representatives from Care and Repair which can help with improvements and repairs to homes, the Daventry and District Forum for the over-50s, DACT community transport and mobility, Daventry and District Housing, Daventry Volunteer Centre, the police, military charity SSAFA, and Happy at Home Partnership which uses volunteers to visit elderly people with help and information.
