Children have a ball

There has been plenty of fun for youngsters this half term with a wide range of activities held across the Daventry district.

There have been sports camps at Daventry Leisure Centre, nature days in Everdon, crafty activities at Canons Ashby and workshops for primary school children and teenagers at Farthingstone.

Children have been able to learn trampolining on Monday, basketball on Tuesday and cricket on Wednesday.

Everdon Outdoor Learning Centre held a Native American day on Tuesday. It was a chance for youngsters to learn how they used nature and bcome a warrior, use trackling skills, light a fire and make music.

Bay Tree Cottage in Farthingstone has been hosting workshop for teenagers. They learn the skill of pictures in a SLR Photography workshop. They also channeled their inner baker and learnt artisan bread making.

Children visiting Canons Ashby House had the chance to do some craft activities and explore the new parkland trail in the grounds.
