CHILDREN got the chance to get messy and creative at an event in Daventry on Friday.
Around 50 people attended the messy church event at Daventry Methodist Church, which included games, stories, food, crafts and art.
The afternoon was themed around a tale of squandering wealth and a father forgiving the son after he lost his fortune.
Helen Bowen, a member of the organising team, said: “It was a day which was suitable for the whole family and it was really great to see everyone who was here having a good time.
“We were very pleased with the event. It is always nice to progress with getting more people through the door and we are very pleased with the turnout.
The messy church is one of a series of regular events taking place throughout the year.
The next one is planned for the end of November.
