Charity walkers raising money for Danetre Hospital

Staff at Danetre Inpatients have organised a charity walk to help raise funds for the four community hospitals across Northamptonshire (Danetre, Hazelwood, Corby and Beechwood).

Around 50 staff from across the hospitals are participating in the walk doing either 26, 13 or seven miles around the area of Pitsford on Saturday May 14.

A spokesman for the group said: “A good deal of the equipment and added extras like televisions are brought from money raised by donations.

“Staff felt it would be a good idea to help contribute to these funds by helping to raise money by doing a walk plus it helps to keep fit and healthy.

“If any businesses are willing to donate bottles of water or similar for the walkers this would be greatly received.

“Anyone who would like to sponsor staff from Danetre, (money can be specified for Danetre or split between the four hospitals), can email [email protected] or contact the ward on 01327 702113.”
