Chairman of Daventry District Council Deanna Eddon invites residents to Dance the Night Away in aid of Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund.
The charity dance takes place on Saturday, November 28 at 7.30pm at the Daventry Community Centre on Ashby Road.
Those who attend the event will enjoy the sounds of Eric Darlington with the John Cleveland band, with music ranging from 1940s tunes to modern day hits and from ballroom classics to Abba.
Cllr Eddon said: “We’ve got some great entertainment lined up and there will be something for everybody on the night.
“Alongside some excellent music there will also be a raffle, with the proceeds going towards my chosen charity of the year, Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund. It promises to be a great night and hopefully we’ll be able to help a lot of children with life-threatening illnesses.”
Daventry-based Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund was established by Pete Spencer MBE in 1980 to help children with a range of medical conditions including cancer, leukaemia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, dwarfism and Down’s syndrome.
Tickets for the dance cost £15 – call 01327 871100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book. It includes a welcome drink on arrival with a pay bar and raffle.
