A GRAND total of £750 was raised by a group of villagers during a coffee morning.
Boaters and local residents from Braunston Marina arranged a water side coffee morning to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support on Friday last week.
The group managed to pick one of the more sunny days and enjoyed the good weather. With support from Braunston Marina and local businesses including Wharf House Narrow Boats and the Gongoozlers floating café they offered marquee teas, coffee, cakes and snacks as well as a white elephant stall and giant tombola.
Speaking after the event organiser Heather Dartnall said: “We had a fun day, everybody pitched in to help and we raised £750 for an excellent cause.”
