A MARATHON dirt bike event has raised around £1,500 for charity.
The two-day event at Long Furlong Farm in Catesby was arranged to raise funds for Riders for Health, a charity which aims to improve transport in Africa so people can receive better healthcare.
Event organiser Graham Rose said: “Sixty six riders took part over the whole weekend which is more than we expected.
“It was a great couple of days and we are delighted with the amount of money we raised for the charity, it is well above our target.”
The competitors had to ride around the three-and-a-half mile farm course tackling various obstacles along the way.
Mr Rose added: “There were four different groups depending on people’s ages and ability and it was all very challenging.
“The aim was for the riders to not touch the floor while taking on the challenges and everyone had a really enjoyable time.”
