A number of vehicles have been damaged in Holcot since December after they have been parked in roads in the village, particularly in Back Lane, Sunningdale and Sywell Road.

PC Joey Werdekker from Daventry’s local response team said: “Some residents in Holcot are finding that if they park their cars on a public road they return to find someone has come along and scratched it overnight.

“This is costly for owners to repair and it is criminal damage.

“I would urge any residents to report any information they may have to assist with finding out who is scratching these vehicles.

“I would also advise anyone who has had their vehicle scratched and damaged to report it to the police.”

Anyone who knows anything about these incidents are urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
