The car park at Daventry Country Park is to close for three days for improvement works.
The main car park will be completely resurfaced with new stone, the cattle grid cleaned out, and repairs made to the entrance road.
The number of usable parking spaces will increase as a result, as it will restore a number of bays at the far end of the car park that have been lost in recent years due to mud and the storage of materials.
The car park will be completely closed from Monday, December 7, to Wednesday, December 9 to allow the work to be carried out.
Councillor Alan Hills, Daventry District Council’s Community, Culture and Leisure Portfolio Holder, said: “Daventry Country Park is an important, well-loved attraction in our district for people of all ages and we hope this work will make it even more welcoming for visitors. I feel sure that everyone will agree the temporary inconvenience will be worthwhile.”
