A NEW campaign has been launched to tackle parking problems in a village.

It has been launched to try and reduce congestion in Station Road, Woodford Halse and is mainly to tackle weekend evenings when people go to pick up a take away. The campaign has been called Fancy a fine to takeaway tonight.

People are arriving in vehicles and stopping to order and collect food orders, but causing congestion and obstructing the flow of traffic in the process.

Posters will be displayed in shops and food outlets while leaflets will be handed to patrons. It will take place over the next three months and double yellow lines in the area have been re-painted to reinforce the campaign.
